Subject: Update 50tThe Reunion

Good Afternoon Rick and Bernie

For Distribution please
Yesterday the Queensland President (John Gibson) informed all State Presidents that following a grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs, we are now in a position to advise those coming to the 50th Anniversary to be held in Brisbane during the period 27th – 29th July 2012 that we can now advise the total cost of attendance for delegates at the various events during the reunion.
Those costs are as follows
REGISTRATION FEE $20.00 (Those attending one or more events during the reunion are required to pay this registration fee. (included in fee this will be a number of gifts and mementoes of the occasion)
CIVIC RECEPTION $5.00
MEMORIAL SERVICE LUNCH $10.00
ANNIVERSARY DINNER $45.00
RIVER CRUISE $20.00
EXAMPLE A delegate attending all events including registration TOTAL COST $100.00
I’m sure that this is certainly good news to all particularly those who may have delayed a decision to attend until they were aware what the final cost would be.
We would therefore now ask that those who have not registered to date should do so as soon as possible and forward their Registration and Deposit Payment form to Loud Events This will assist the organising committee to fine tune our budget and assist with catering and transport arrangements.
We say to those who may have medical conditions which might prevent registration at this time that we will still accept registration and payment up until the last few days before the reunion commences. HOWEVER IF YOU FALL IN TO THIS CATEGORY PLEASE NOTIFY ME AS SOON AS YOU CAN
DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL ALL THOSE WHO HAVE REGISTERED THEMSELVES AND THEIR GUESTS will receive further details about the event and AND AN INVOICE FOR THE AMOUNT OUTSTANDING AFTER SUBTRACTING THE DEPOSIT THEY HAVE PAID
EXAMPLE A delegate who is attending all events and who has paid $65.00 per head (including the registration fee) will receive an invoice for the outstanding amount of
$35.00 per head for himself and his guest /guests
ALL ARE REQUESTED TO NOT : I REPEAT NOT MAKE ANY FURTHER PAYMENTS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR INVOICE.
REGARDS TO ALL AND WE CERTAINLY LOOK FORWARD TO A MOST MEMORABLE EVENT

News Update - Function Costs for AATTV 50th Anniversary Reunion

G'day all,

Below is a copy of an email from AATTV Qld Branch President John Gibson in relation to a Government grant for our 50th Anniversary Reunion.  Great news and thankfully the Federal Government has come to the party with funding.

Take care and Persevere,

Rick

Subject: The 50th

Hello gents, et al

I am excited, as hopefully, you are, about our forthcoming 50th Anniversary and Memorial Service that will bring us together once again.

I am pleased to say we have received a significant grant, from the Federal Government, that will be directed to defray the cost of delegates in their cost to attend this, our 50th Reunion and Memorial Event – and will hopefully help  those who may be travelling interstate and indeed from overseas.

This Grant also provides funds to further the recognition of OUR AATTV Memorial Grove located at the Land Warfare Centre, Canungra.

May you please extend to all potential delegates/members of your Branch that the cost of attending ‘all events’, over the three days may not exceed $100.00.

Your 50th Event Treasurer, Peter Conway, whom you all know, rely upon and have absolute trust in, shall soon be issuing the cost per delegate for attendance at each event, ranging from the Civic Reception, where we will be welcomed by the State Premier and The Brisbane City Lord Mayor, then the Memorial Service at Canungra followed by the Formal Dinner that evening, then to the Sunday Brisbane River Cruise. As previously stated the cost to attend all activities shall not exceed $100.00.

So, to my fellow State Presidents, this reunion has been given a monetary injection from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs that has allowed for all able bodied Team warriors, their partners, siblings and those affiliated to the Team to attend this, our 50th Reunion and Memorial Celebration in Brisbane.

Please disseminate as you will.

As always, persevere
